Happy Birthday!

Good Morning!

One of my crafty friend's birthday is coming up and I thought I would make her a card.  When I make her cards I like to use die cuts that I know she can use again for a scrapbook layout. Recently she went to the beach with her grandsons so I thought I would make her a beach themed card.

The boy is from the NEW Dress Up Boys 1 Cutting Files.  His swim suit & arm bands are from the NEW Dress Up Boy Swim Suit 1 Cutting File.  The surf board is from the Surf's Up Cutting Files.  The sand is from the Borders 5 Cutting Files.

The sentiment is from Pretty Cute Stamps Sea Life Sentiments.

Don't forget to grab the Friday Freebie.  It goes perfectly with the Surf's Up Cutting Files.   There will be a NEW one on Friday.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a great week!

You're the flip to my flop

Good Morning!

Hope you're having a great day.  I'm taking the kids to the beach again today so I thought I would make a beach themed card to share with you.

To make the little boy I used the Ukulele Boy from the Aloha Cutting File.  I removed all the flowers, grass skirt and guitar.  Since he didn't have any other clothing I used the swim trunks from the Little Swimmers Cutting File.  I had to stretch them a little bit to get them to fit him.

The sun is from the Sunscreen Cutting File.  The flip flop he is holding is from the Flip Flops Cutting File.  To make the wave I used the Curling Wave from the Surf's Up Cutting File.  I just placed it where I wanted it and then cut the excess off.

The little guy's face is from the Boy Mates Face Assortment by Peachy Keen.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Paper Hot, Hot, Hot! Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Hot, Hot, Hot! Blog Hop.

If you came here from Leah's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit Lisa's blog.  Today we are making Hot, Hot, Hot!-themed projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.

One of the things we like to do to cool off is go to the beach.  I recently took my 3 boys to the beach and they had a blast.

For the waves I used the Borders 5 Cutting File.  To make the big wave that he is surfing on I welded the Wave and the Curling wave together.  I didn't use all of the curling wave.  I just used the part I wanted and cut the rest of it off.  They are both from the Surf's Up Cutting File.  The surfer boy and title are also from the Surf's Up Cutting File.    For the title I just took the letters and then offset them to make a shadow for them.

The sun is from the Day at the Beach Cutting File.  All of these Cutting Files are from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  The surfer boy's face is from Peachy Keen's Boy Mates Face Assortment.

Good Morning!

Today I am sharing a sneak peek of one of the new stamps that will be released by Pretty Cute Stamps on Wednesday July 16.  The stamp set I am showcasing is Sea Life Sentiments.  Trust me when you see this stamp set you are going to fall in love with it.

To make my card I used the Star Spangled Card Cutting File from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

The fish is from the Fishy Friends Cutting File.  The seaweed and rocks are from the Sea Life Cutting Files.  I just cut a couple of sizes of the rocks and then flipped some of them in the silhouette studio so they would be different.

The circle is from the Scalloped Circles Cutting File.  The title is from the Fourth of July Titles Cutting Files.

The firework is from the Fantastic Fireworks Cutting File.  The twine is from The Twinery, it's called Midnight Blue.

Have a Good Time!!

Happy Friday!

Today is my last day as an Action Wobble Design Team Member.  I had a great time being on this Design Team.

This card was inspired by the song Good Time by Alan Jackson.  You can see the video here on YouTube.  Check out the video, it's a great song.

The card base is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sunburst Shapes Cutting File.  The road is from the Home Sweet Home Cutting File.  The car is from the Are we there yet Cutting File, also from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Fright Night.  Here goes the car wobbling down the road.

Life's a Breeze

Good Morning!

I'm so happy Summer is finally here.  I'm already planning several trips to the beach with the kids.  One place we like to go is Long Beach down by the Long Beach Aquarium.  They have a cool little walk way down by the water where you can see all the boats that are in the harbor.  I thought it would be fun to make a little card inspired by all the boats we see.

I used the Star Spangled Card Cutting File for my card base.  The adorable Sail boat came from the NEW Sail Away Cutting File and the clouds came from the Kites & Clouds Cutting file.   I made the waves by using the Borders 5 Cutting File.

Don't forget to head on over to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and check out the Count Down to Summer Sale.  You'll get 40% off your ENTIRE purchase!
