Bon Voyage Card

Hi again!  It's me again :)

I'm back to show you a card I made for one of my good friends who is going on a cruise in a couple of weeks and I thought I would make her a card before she leaves.  I also came across a cool challenge that I thought would be fun to join in on.  It's called Wobble Wednesday's Challenge.  Here is my entry for the summer challenge.

This sentiment is from the Cruisin sentiment set from Pink by Design.

Here you can see that the Cruise ship is on a Action Wobble.  I bought the Action Wobbles from my local scrapbook store.

Warning: Rough seas ahead.  Ha ha.  I think the cruise ship looks so cool in action.

This is the inside of the card.  I think this sentiment is perfect for this card considering the ship rocks back and forth.  This sentiment is also from the Cruisin sentiment set as well.

The Cricut cartridges I used are CTMH Art Philosophy (Card base, sentiment shape & Circles) and Pack your bags (Cruise ship).  The twine is from The Twinery.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Summer Layout

Hi Crafty Friends!

Echo Park announced a challege on their Facebook page a couple of weeks ago.  I thought it would be fun to play along with the challenge.  The challenge was to create a project using their new Hello Summer collection.  I made a scrapbook layout to enter in the challenge.  This layout was really easy to make.  I only used my Cricut to make the sun on the layout.

These pictures were from one of our Lake Havasu trips last summer.  The paper was perfect for this layout.
This is a close up of the first page.

This is the 2nd page.

These pennants are actually stickers that I popped up with pop dots and then I added the twine.

The sentiments are from the Summer Vacation sentiment set from Pink by Design.  The face is from the Wide Eyed Kid Faces Assortment from Peachy Keen.
I used pop dots on this sticker as well, it's just hard to tell by looking at the picture.

Instead of cutting out a title on my Cricut I used one of the stickers as my title.

I inked around the edges of the cloud and added some pop dots.

Don't forget there are only a couple more days to enter to win a Silhouette Cameo over at Pink by Design.  CLICK HERE for all the details.  There is no purchase necessary to enter.

Hope you have a wonderful week.  Thanks for stopping by today.

My love for you is immeasurable

Hi Friends!
Today I'm going to share with you the card I made for my day over at Pink by Design.  When I made this card I made it for my husband.  I haven't given him a card since Valentine's Day and thought I would surprise him with a card.

For the card base and circle I used the Birthday Bash cartridge.  The tape measure is from the Handy Man Lite cartridge.  I used my Gypsy to hide the word "tape" on the tape measure so I could place a sentiment there.  I had the nuts and bolts paper for a while and thought it would be a perfect match for this card.

The sentiments on the front of the card are from the Tool Time sentiment set.  The sentiment on the inside of the card are from the Giant Greetings sentiment set.

Don't forget that Pink by Design is giving away a Cameo.  Click Here to find out all the details.  The contest is running until the May 31, 2012 so there is still time to participate.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

A Sweethaven Summer sketch contest

Hi Crafty Buddies!

This is my second post of the day.  I came across this sketch contest over at PageMaps.  I thought it would be fun to play along.  The challenge was to create a layout based on one of the following themes using this sketch.

• Create a layout about a friend or friends you haven't seen in a long time (or "create a layout that celebrates a special friendship).
• Create a layout about a place that's special to you.
• Create a layout about a dream that came true (that is the theme of Courtney's sample page above).
• Create a layout about your first love.
• Create a layout inspired by the cover of "A Sweethaven Summer."
I decided that I wanted to create a layout about a place that was special to me.  The place that is special to me is Laguna Beach.  My hubby and I took our Engagement pictures there and we also took my family pictures there when I was pregnant with Matthew.  The pictures on my layout are of when I was pregnant with Matthew.

I used the Script Background behind my sentiment.  When I stamped it I wanted it to have a vintagey (Is that even a word? ha ha) look to it so I stamped it once and then lifted the stamp a little bit and immediately stamped it again.  I also didn't press down on a couple of spots when I was stamping it.  This way it would look faded.  Do you see what I mean?  I really like the way it came out.  The sentiment is from the To the Moon stamp set.

Instead of journaling on a blank piece of card stock I used the Notebook Paper Background.  I think this is my new favorite background stamp.  Well besides the Chevron Background, that's another one of my favorites.  And it's still on sale so head on over and grab one.

I used the Gypsy Font on my Gypsy to make my title.  I also used my Gyspy to weld the letters together.  I used a light yellow paper for the title and then I used my Colorbox chalk inks to make it a little more pinkish and not so yellow.

The Cricut cartridges I used were Gypsy font (Title), Gypsy Wanderings (Scalloped Rectangle for journaling), CTMH Art Philosophy (Sentiment) and Elegant Edges (Scalloped Border).
Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to leave me some comments, I love reading them.

Wall hanging Teacher Appreciation Gift

Happy  Monday my Friends!

I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I made another gift for Matthew to give to his teacher this week for Teacher Appreciation week.  Today he was supposed to bring a flower to his teacher.  So I immediately thought I should make something that has flowers on it.  I thought it would be cute to make something I could put a picture of Matthew on.  Now when I took these pictures I didn't have a picture to put in it, so I just put a piece of paper where the picture will go.

I used the Our Teachers stamp set by Pink by Design.  I think this is the perfect sentiment to go with this wall hanging.  I cut the scalloped background from the Paper Lace Cricut cartridge.  The shape for the sentiment is actually a Base shadow for another cut on the Paper lace cartridge.  I really liked how it looks distressed.

I love how cute these flowers came out, the flowers came from the Flower shoppe Cricut cartridge.  I hot glued the little pearl in the center of the flower and then cut out a leaf from the Flower shoppe cartridge.  Then I glued it to the back of the flower and then hot glued the flowers down.

Don't forget Pink by Design is giving away a Cameo.  Click Here to find out all the details.  The contest ends on 05/31/2012

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Cherish Layout

How's your weekend going?  Mine is going good.  Today I'm going to share with you a layout I made for my day over at Pink by Design.  Now this picture is very special to me because it was the first time I was able to hold both of my twins at the same time when they were in the NICU.  Before this picture I could only hold one at a time.  It kinda felt like it was a big milestone taking this picture because it meant they were going to be coming home soon.  It was also right before Nicky got to come home.  Joey came home a couple of days later.  I will always cherish this picture.

I used the Sweet Baby sentiment set for this layout. I think this sentiment pretty much sums up how I felt at this moment.  I love this sentiment set, it is perfect for scrapbook layouts.

Look how small they were.  It's really hard to believe that they will be 3 years old this summer.  Time sure does fly, Doesn't it?  The title is American Crafts Thickers.

I used the Peachy Keen Just Baby Faces Assortment for the face of the baby.  I think the baby is just too cute.  I used pop dots under the baby but it's hard to tell in this picture.  The heart patterned paper is from the Bella Blvd Baby Boy collection.

The Cricut cartridges I used were Baby Steps (Baby on cloud), Birthday Bash (Green Pennant), Elegant Edges (Scalloped border with hearts), Paper Lace (Scalloped Border)

Have a great weekend!

Teacher Appreciation Gift

Hi!  Happy Thursday!

Since next week is Teacher Appreciation at Matthew's school I thought I would show you what I made for his teacher.  I found this clear purse at my local scrapbook store and I thought it would be perfect to use for a Teacher gift.

I used the Our Teachers sentiment set for my sentiment.  I love this stamp set because there are so many great sayings.  I used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to make the fancy square for the sentiment.  I also used my Colorbox Cat Eye chalk ink in French blue to ink around the edges of the sentiment.

I also used pop dots to pop up the sentiment and flowers so they wouldn't be so flat.  It's just really hard to tell in the picture.  I filled the purse with a bath scrubby and shower gel & lotion from Bath and body works.

I made my own border by using a rectangle from the George Cricut cartridge and welding a border from the Elegant edges Cricut cartridge.  Now I could have just used my border punches to make the border but I always have the hardest time making sure it is always lined up correctly.  So I made one on my Gypsy instead.  It was so much easier for me doing it on the Gyspy.

I like that you can see the other side of the patterned paper on the back.  Don't you?  I'm joining in at the link up party over at Pink Cricut.  You should join us.  I think it is great to see what everyone has been making.  That's all I have for today friends.  I hope you have a great rest of the week.

It's Bento Long

Hi Friends!

I just realized that I never posted these pictures on my blog.  This past week has been so busy at my house, that's probably why these pictures never got posted.  This week I have been busy trying to make some things for Matthew's teacher for Teacher Appreciation week next week.  This is what I made for my day over at Pink by DesignSo I thought I would share them with you today.

This sentiment is from the Let's Do Sushi stamp set.  It's such a great stamp set.  Lisa from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons designed this set and the Got Sushi stamp set.  I think she did a great job designing these stamp sets.

Now I didn't have any sushi images on any of my Cricut cartridges so I went to my girlfriend's house and used her Cameo to make these cuts.  I had so much fun using the Cameo and it cuts great.  Now I want to get a Cameo!

This is the sentiment I used for the inside of the card.  I made this card to give to my girlfriend who is crazy about sushi.  I think she is going to love it, Don't ya think?

Pink by Design also has a new Clearance section so head on over and check it out.  You wouldn't want to miss out on any good deals would you?  Oh and Pink by Design is also giving away a Cameo.  How awesome is that?  You still have time to enter to win, there is no purchase necessary.  Click Here for all the details.

I'll be back later in the week to show you one of the projects I made for Matthew's teacher for Teacher Appreciation week.  Have a good week.  :)
