Blast off.. Happy Birthday

Hi Friends!
It's my Design team day over at Pink by Design.  Today I'm going to show you an Easel card I made.  This is what it looks like when it is closed or laying flat.

This is what the card looks like when it is open.  Isn't it cute?  I've been wanting to make an easel card for the longest time and it was super easy to do.

I am loving the new Giant Greetings stamp set.  If you haven't seen it you really should check it out. It has 6 large sentiments.

For the Blast off I used the Oh boy stamp set.  This is my favorite boy stamp set.  It has so many great sentiments.

The Cricut Cartridges I used are Boys will be boys (Rocket) and Create a Critter (Cloud).  The card is 5.75" by 5.75".

Thanks for stopping by today!  I really do appreciate it!

Just Sea-Horsin Around

Hi Friends!
Hope every had a good weekend.  My family and I went camping this weekend in Glamis.  I will share some pictures with you once we come back home. Today we are going to be going to see my Grandma in Arizona today.  I made this card before we left for camping.  My boys were my inspiration for this card because they are always Horsing around with each other.  I found the shape for the card on the Nifty Fifties cartridge and welded it together on my Gypsy.

I sprayed the card base with Vanilla shimmer mist because I wanted it to sparkle, kinda like water does when the sun hits it.  I welded the seaweed together on my Gypsy so it would look like one big piece.  I also cut out some more seaweed in a lighter green to add on top of the dark green seaweed.  When I cut out the seaweed I cut the lighter green a little bit smaller then the dark green because I was trying to make it look like it was moving as if it was in the water.  Does that make sense?  Or does it only make sense to me?  Ha ha.

I love how the coral turned out.  It's so colorful.

This sentiment is from Pink by Design's Crikey stamp set.

The Cricut cartridges I used were CTMH Art Philosophy (Circle for the sentiment), Nifty Fifties (Card base) and Life is a Beach (Seaweed, Coral and Sea horse)

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Valentine's Day!  Hope you are having a good day.  I made a couple of Valentine's day cards to share with you.  When I saw these sentiments from the Be Mine stamp set I knew I had the perfect paper to use with it.

I love this paper from Echo Park.  It's perfect for boys.  It's hard to tell by the pictures but the sentiment and both trucks are popped up.  I added some Smooch spritz to the paper and I think it really turned out cute.  The Cricut cartridges I used are Boys will be boys (Truck and Tow Truck) and CTMH Art Philosophy (Card base and Sentiments shapes).  The stamps I used are from the Be Mine stamp set by Pink by Design

Busy Weekend

Hi Friends!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  It was a busy weekend at my house.  My girlfriend Ashley called me and asked me if I would help her make some flowers to put around lollipops.  I recently had bought the Flower Shoppe cartridge at Jo-Ann's and I thought this would be the perfect project to use that cartridge for.  She needed 200 flowers for the 200 lollipops she had bought.  I ended up cutting out 400 flowers (so we could layer the flowers) and 200 leaves.  My pictures aren't the prettiest pictures but I just wanted you to see what I was making for her.

These flowers were cut at 2.75 inches.  I cut the same flower at 2.25 to use as the center flower.

Here is what they looked like once we put them all together.

Aren't they cute?  I love this color combination.

The stamps I used are from the Joy's Life All Around Sentiments.  The Cricut cartridge I used was the Flower Shoppe and I used the flower called <Fun4>.

Have a great week!

Wool ewe be mine?

Hi Friends!

Today I'm going to share with you another Valentine's Day card I made.  Last weekend Pink by Design posted on Facebook that the Be Mine stamp set was back in stock.  I was so excited because I have been wanting this stamp set for a while now.  So I ordered it and received it Wednesday.  I was so excited that I made a card to share with you today.  Before I forget the Be Mine stamp set is a really popular set right now because of Valentine's Day so if you need some stamps for Valentine's Day I would hurry and buy it while its still in stock.

Isn't the Sheep the cutest little sheep you've ever seen?  I love it.

For the card base I used the Shadow feature on the County Fair cartridge and welded them together on my Gypsy to make the base.  I also cut and extra Sheep <Sheep> to use on the inside of the card.

I love this sentiment

Here you can see that I popped up his legs and hair

The Cricut cartridges I used are County fair (Sheep) and Sweet treats (Tag).  The stamp I used is from the Be Mine stamp set and you can buy there stamps Here.

That's all for today, Thanks again for stopping by!

Over the moon in love with you Card

Hi Friends!

How are you?  I've been busy dealing with some sick kiddies lately.  First it was Strep throat and now its Ear & Sinus infections.  It's that time of the year. Any how the card I made today is a quick Valentine's Day card using some of the stamps that came with the Close to my Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges
FCCB: Use a heart on your project.  Here is the Link if you would like to join in the challenge.
My Creative Time: Throwback Thursday:  Make a Valentine Card.  Here is that Link if you would like to join in that challenge.

You can see the Smooch spritz really good in this picture

I love the hearts

The Cricut cartridges I used are Hoot n Holler (Hearts) and CTMH Art Philosophy (Card Base and stamp base).  The stamp is also from Close to my Heart.

I'm trying something new as far as photographing my cards. and projects.  I thought I would try it this way and see how it came out.  What do you think?  Do you like it this way?  Let me know what you think by leaving me some comments below.  I would love to hear what you think.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Sorry I haven't been around much

Hi Everyone!  Hope all is well with you.  I'm so sorry I haven't been posting lately.  My kids have been sick lately.  First it was Joey then it was Matthew's turn.  Both of them ended up having Strep throat and really high fevers.  We were going back and forth from the ER to the Doctor's office for a couple of days.  I had a feeling that Nicky would eventually get Strep throat as well so I had the Dr give me a prescription for antibiotics him as well to save myself a trip back to his office.  Just as Matthew and Joey are doing better, Nicky came down with a fever last night.  Last night was a sleepless night, so today we are just taking it easy.  I've been thinking I should make some Get well cards since my boys have been sick.  What do you think?  Matthew also has to make some Valentine's Day cards to pass out for his class so I'm going to help him make some and hope that I can make some as well.  I can't believe that we are already in February.  I don't remember time going by this fast when I was in school.  I'm hoping to have a couple of cards to share with you this week.  I've got them all laid out of my Gypsy, it's just a matter of cutting them out on the Cricut.

Oh I almost forgot to tell you I applied to be on the Pink by Design design team several weeks ago.  They are going to offically annouce the new members of their Design team on Friday 02/10/12.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get picked.  Talk to you soon! (Hopefully with some really good news ;)  )
