Have a Spook-tacular Howl-o-ween

Happy Sunday!

Today is my last post as a guest designer for My Thoughts Exactly.  I've had a fun time guest designing for them.  I've been wanting to make a shadow box card for a while now and thought it would be fun to make one for Halloween.

For the shadow box I used this file from the online silhouette store.  I really wanted the pumpkin to pop so I used a lot of pop dots.  I used two layers of pop dots behind the pumpkin.  You can see all the pop dots below.

For the banner I used the 2 banner labels file from the online silhouette store.   The twine is Trendy Twine's Orange Licorice.  I used 3 Girl JAM's Bow Maker to make my twine bow.

For my sentiment I used the Fright Night Phrases stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week!

Shark Tank Layout

Hi Everyone!

Today is my first post as a Design team member for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  I'm really excited to share this layout that I made with you.  This summer I took my 3 boys to the Aquarium of the Pacifc in Long Beach.  They had to so much fun.  They especially liked looking at the shark tank.  Here is a picture of my oldest son at the shark tank.

I used the Fishy Friends Cutting Files for the sharks.  I love the expressions on the sharks faces.  For the pennant banner I used the 5 Arrow chevron border strips and just removed the inside pieces.  To remove the inside pieces I selected my image, then right clicked and selected Release compound path.  Then I just selected the pieces I wanted to remove and then deleted them.
I used the 6 banner set to make my pennant banner.  The twine I used is caribbean from The Twinery.

I love that it looks like the shark is smiling in the picture.  This shark is a perfect match for this picture.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to stop by Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to see what my fellow design team members made.

Have a great day!

Will spook for treats

Hi Crafty friends!

How's your weekend?  Mine is going good.  I'm back with another post as My Thoughts Exactly September guest designer.  I've been wanting to make some halloween cards all week so I thought I would make one to share with you today.

To make the card base I used the 5 label shapes, I also used that same file for the patterened paper.  I used the 5 labels for my sentiment.  The sentiment is from My Thoughts Exactly's Ghostly Greetings stamp set.

Frankenstein is from Pretty Paper Graphics Monster Mash Cutting files.  He was so much fun to put together.  I also used some pop dots to pop him and the sentiment up.  The twine is from Trendy's twine Orange Licorice.

Ghostly Greetings

Happy Saturday!  Aren't you glad it's the weekend?  I sure am.  Today is my day over at Pink by Design to share a card I made with you.  I don't know about you but I'm already thinking about Halloween.  I thought it would be fun to make a halloween card.  Here is my card.

I made the card base myself using the online silhouette store.  I used the 3 circles for my card base.  I grouped them together and then welded them together.  After they were welded together I was left with some weird little shapes where the cards were welded together.  So all I did was select my image and then I right clicked on the image and selected "Release compound path" and then clicked on what I wanted to removed and it removed those weird little shapes.

The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Ghostly Greetings stamp set.  The little ghost is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Monster Mash Cutting Files.

I thought it would be fun to put the ghost on an action wobble.  Here is he in action.  Isn't he cute?  I can't get over how cute he is.

Hope you have a great weekend!

We Rake, We Pile, We Jump ~SOUS Challenge~

Happy Friday!

Hi Crafty Friends.  Today is the start of another challenge at Stuck on U Sketches.  This week the challenge is "We rake, We pile, We jump" (Leaves challenge).  I saw this card over at SVGCuts.com and knew this was the perfect card for the challenge.

This card is from the September Scenes Stand Up Cards SVG Kit.

I love this card because there are so many different layers to it.  The apples are from the online silhouette store.  I cut a bunch of them of them out and then placed them on the card.

The twine is Seaweed from The Twinery.  The sentiment is from Joy's Life It's all Fall Puns stamp set.  I used the 6 banner set for the pennant for the sentiment.

I used my Tim Holtz Woodgrain Embossing folder to emboss the tree trunks and squirel.

This pumpkin is from the online Silhouette Store.  You can find the pumpkin HERE.

This is the back of the card.  I cut out some extra leaves and apples to add to the back of the card.

I hope you like my card and you'll join us in this challenge.

My Thoughts Exactly September Guest Designer

Happy Monday Friends!

Last month I entered the monthly challenge over at My Thoughts Exactly and the design team picked my card and chose me to be the guest designer for the month of September.  Well yesterday was my first post over at My Thoughts Exactly as their September Guest designer.  My son was invited to a classmates birthday party this past weekend and I thought it would be fun to make the birthday girl a card.  Here is the card I made.

I used the Thank You card for the card base.  The sentiment I used is from the Big Thoughts stamp set.

This adorable little panda bear is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Birthday Panda Cutting Files.  The Scalloped Rectangle is also from the online silhouette store.

The birthday girl loves pink so I used a lot of Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry distress ink around the sentiment and the card.  I also put some pop dots under the panda bear and the sentiment box.

Have a great day!
