Anything but a Card Friday

Happy Friday!

Today the theme over at the Pink by Design blog is "Anything but a Card".  We thought since the holidays are just around the corner we would make gift card holders.

To make my gift card holder I used the Pull out gift card holder-bracket from the online silhouette store.  I was surprised at how easy it was to put it together.  I didn't change the size either, I just used the size that it opened at.  In the picture below you can see what it looks like when you open it.

The sentiment is from Pink by Design's Scripted Year. I have to say this is one of my favorite stamp sets because it has such a good variety of sayings for every holiday on it.

Here it is with the gift card pulled out.  It slides in and out really easily.

Don't forget that there still is time to participate in this week's sketch challenge.  You don't have to use Pink by Design stamps to play along but if you have them, we would love it if you used them.  Don't forget to link up your projects at Pink by Design

Pink by Design Using Scraps Tip

Happy Wednesday Crafty Friends!

I hope you all are having good week so far.  Today over at Pink by Design we are showing you different ways you can use all those scraps of paper you have left over from other projects.  I made this layout for one of my girlfriends.  All of the paper I used on this layout except the orange paper is scraps of paper from other projects.  To make the little squares I just measured the size of my scraps of paper and then found the square shape on the online silhouette store.  Then all I had to do was make them the same size as my scraps of paper.  They are actually just from two different patterns paper I just turned them over to use the different patterns.

This sentiment is from Pink by Design's A Haunting we will go stamp set.  The green banner and white banner is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Sentiment spots 1.   The cute little bat is from SVG Cuts' Spooky Cuties SVG Collection.

The spider and the zombie are also from SVG Cuts' Spooky Cuties SVG Collection.  I found the title on the online silhouette store.  The green patterned paper is a scrap from another halloween layout that I did awhile back.  It was the perfect size for this banner.  After I cut out the banner I still had a little strip of the paper left so I used that paper for my scalloped border and just used the other side.

The twine is Charcoal from The Twinery.

Don't forget that there is still time to participate in the Sketch challenge this week.  I hope you'll join in the fun and play along.  Dont' forget to link up your projects at Pink by Design

Pink by Design Sketch Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today is the start of a new challenge going on over at Pink by Design,  This the challenge is a sketch challenge.  You can make a card or scrapbook layout for this challenge as long as it uses this sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch. For the orange and red borders I used the Borders 1 Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  The acorn and scalloped circle are from the online silhouette store.

The sentiment I used is from the Be Mine stamp set from Pink by Design.  I love that even though this is a Valentine's Day stamp set I could still use it for other types of cards as well.

I thought it would be fun to make another card using this sketch but flip the sketch this time.  This sentiment came from the You're a Hoot stamp set.  The borders are again from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Borders 1 Cutting Files.  The owl is from the online silhouette store.

I just love this little owl, he is too cute.

I hope you'll join us in the fun challenge.  You don't have to use Pink by Design stamps to participate but if you do we would love to see you use them.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to link up your projects at Pink by Design

Hay Rides Layout ~~PPPR~~

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are having a good day.  Today is Design Team day over at Pretty Ribbons, Pretty Ribbon.  I have a layout to share with you.  Now I have to admit I kinda planned these pictures around this Hay Ride die cut.  When we went apple picking I made sure my hubby took some pictures of me and my boys for this layout.  Have you ever done that?  I do it all the time.  LOL

I made this layout using the Fall Festival Cutting Files for the Hay Ride.  I have been wanting to use this die cut for a while now and I'm so happy I finally got a chance to use it.

  Isn't the little tractor cute?

For my title I used the background of the title from the Pumpkin Patch Cutting Files and a font from the online silhouette store called LD Wanted.

I hope you'll check out what the other design team members made.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy Thanksgiving!!

For my title I used the owl word phrases.   For the owl I used the Heart owl from the online silhouette store but I didn't cut out the heart.  The tree is the Summer tree.  All of these die cuts are from the online silhouette store.  I just love the owl paper too.

Hay Fever Layout~~PPPR~~

Hi Crafty Friends!

Today is Design Team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  I have been on a roll making scrapbook layouts and have been wanting to scrapbook these pictures for a while now.  When I saw these cutting files I knew right away what I was going to do.

The cornstalk, black bird and bale of hay are from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fall Fesitival Cutting Files.   The are all popped up on pop dots it's just a little hard to tell in the pictures.

I love this little black bird.  He is too cute.  I used a shimmery black cardstock for his head and wings to make him stand out.

The banner for my title is from the Sentiment Spots 1.  The title is LD This and That from the online silhouette store.

The bale of hay is from the Fall Festival Cutting Files.  The pumpkin is from the Pumpkin Patch Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful week.

Hip Hip Hooray, Today is Candy Day

Hi Everyone!

Today is my day to post over at Pink by Design and I can't wait to share my treat bag with you.  I made these treat bags for one of my girlfriends and I know she is going to love it.  I used the Handled Treat Bag Topper Cutting Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons for the topper.

I used the Ghostly Greetings stamp set from Pink by Design for my sentiment.  I love this sentiment.  I think I'll use it for Valentine's Day for my oldest son's class.  The Candy Bucket and the Sentiment spot are also from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  The twine is Orange Licorice from Trendy Twine.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have an awesome weekend.

Autumn Memories ~~SOUS~~

Happy Friday!

Do you know what today is?  It is the start of another fun challenge going on over at Stuck on U Sketches.  The new challenge is an Fall/Autumn challenge.  You must use the word Autumn or Fall on your project.  These pictures are from the first time we took our twins to the pumpkin patch.

The title, owl and leaves all came from SVG Cuts' Acorn Autumn SVG Kit.  I love that the title is two different fonts.

Here is the cute little owl.  He is super easy to put together too.

The twine I used to tie the leaves together is Cappuccino from The Twinery.  I found the jute ribbon at my local scrapbook store.  I love how the ribbon looks behind the leaves.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to stop by Stuck on U Sketches to see what the other design team members made.

Have a good day!
