Peachy Keen Challenge 13-34 :: Just Cards :: Sympathy

Good Evening.

Just stopping by real quick to share the card I made for the Peachy Keen Just Cards - Sympathy Challenge.  I don't about you but Sympathy cards are always hard for me to make.  Maybe it's because they aren't happy and cheery cards.

Here is the card I made for the challenge.

The squirrel's face is from the Teddy Bear Assortment from Peachy Keen.  The sentiment is from the Fruit Sentiments One, also from Peachy Keen.

I'm also entering this into the Craftin Desert Divas Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great rest of the week.

~~PPPR ~~ Camping Fun Layout

Good Morning!

Today is Design Team Day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  My oldest son recently joined Boy Scouts and I know we are going to be going camping soon.  So I thought I would try and get ahead of the game and get a layout ready for the pictures of our camp out.

The title, tent, sleeping bag, lantern and camp fire are from the Camping Fun Cutting Files.

The green hills in the background are from the Borders 5 Cutting files.  I just flipped one of the borders horizontally in the Silhouette studio.  This way it would look like there were two hills.

The sun is from the Day at the Beach Cutting file.  The clouds are from the Kite & Cloud Cutting file.  The big brown mountains and trees are from the Big Foot Cutting file

So do you like camping?  My family loves camping.  Is there a special place that you like to camp at?  I can't wait to hear your responses.  :)

I hope you liked my layout.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Back to School Blog hop

Welcome to the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Back to School Blog Hop.

If you came here from Jeanne's blog, you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit Lisa's blog.

Today we are making projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Files that are all school related.

I made a layout for today's blog hop.  For the patterned paper background I used the Layered Labels 1 Cutting file.  I also used the same shape for my journaling space.

The title, pencil and school bus are from the Back 2 School Cutting file.

The glue, scissor and eraser are from the Primary Supplies Cutting File.  You don't know how real the scissors look in person, it's hard to tell in the picture.  But let me tell you I tried to pick them up and cut with them several times.  I have a pair of scissors that are very similar looking and when I wasn't paying attention I was easily mistaking the two of them.  LOL!

The yellow twine is the Lemonade Yellow from Timeless Twine.

For a chance to win, you must be a follower of each blog and leave a comment on each blog.  For extra chances, you can also "LIKE" Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons on Facebook and/or sign up for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Newsletter. A random winner will be chosen for the prize on Tuesday, August 27. Only US or Canadian mailing addresses, please.

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm back with a cute little 3D bag I made for the Peachy Keen 3D Pets Challenge.  The theme of the challenge was to make something that was 3D and had to do with pets.  Here is my bag.

I used the Teddy Bear Assortment for the dog's face.  The sentiment is from Joy's Life You're so Punny stamp set.  Below is a side view of the bag.

Jaded Blossom Back to School Challenge

Happy Thursday!

I'm back to share with you my project for the Jaded Blossom Back to School Challenge.  I wanted to make a little something for Matthew's new Teacher.  I thought it would be fun to give her something with her favorite candy inside.

This cute pencil is from SVG CUT's School Days SVG Kit.  I heat embossed the sentiment on the heart.  The sentiment is from the School Rules Stamp set.  This sentiment is perfect for my project.  Below you can see the candy I put inside.  I put 2 bags of Peanut M&M's inside.

Here is a close up of the apple.  The twine is Cherry Red from Timeless Twine.

I'm also entering this in the Craftin Desert Diva Back to School challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great rest of the week.

~~PPPR~~Let Your Dreams Set Sail

Good Morning!

How's your week going so far?  Mine is going good.  My oldest son is back in school as of today.  Whoo hoo!  Today is Design Team day over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  Check out the card I made.

I made the card base by using the Layered Labels 1 Cutting file.  The shape of the card is the first one in the file, I just rotated the shape 90 degrees before I grouped and welded them together.  I thought it would be fun to change it it up a bit, by rotating the shape.  The waves are from this week's Friday Freebie Borders 5 Cutting file.

The sun is from the Cool Sun Cutting files.  The cloud is from the Kite & Clouds Cutting File.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to check out what the rest of the Design team created.  You can see them all HERE.

Peachy Keen Challenge 13-32 :: Sketch Challenge

Today I have a card to share with you.   I made it for the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge. I decided to make a Thank You card for one of my neighbors.  My neighbor has a little farm stand in front of their house where they sell produce.  On Sunday they put out a bunch of free peppers & bell peppers in front of their house.  I stopped by and grabbed some peppers and bell peppers.  My boys love eating bell peppers.  I plan on making some yummy salsa with the peppers. Don't they look yummy?

Below is the sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch.

The face on the pepper is from The Cornies Assortment from Peachy Keen.  The sentiment is also from Peachy Keen, it's called the Fruit Sentiments TWO stamp set.  The twine is Cherry Red Twine from Timeless Twine.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thank You Gift Box

Hi Crafty friends!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today to share with you a cute little Gable box I made.  I made it for one of my husband's friends at work, as a way to say Thank You.  Long story cut short, I thought someone was trying to get in our backyard.  I called my husband (after calling 911) and told him what was going on.  He sent his friend over to check on me and our boys because he couldn't get to us as fast as his friend could.  Thankfully we are okay.  The police couldn't find the person but still very scary.

I closed up the box with some beautiful Key Lime Sorbet twine.  I plan on filling it up with candy before I give it to him.  The green clothes pin is from the Neon Glitter Mini clothes pins.  It goes perfect with the twine.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great week.
