My Lil' Chicadee

Good Morning!!

Melisa from Melisa's Crafty Creations here today to share a spring inspired card with you today.

To make the card base I used the Doilies 1 Cutting File.  To get rid of the design inside the doily I selected my shape and then right clicked on the mouse and selected "Release Compound Path".  After that I just selected the circle portion of my shape and deleted the rest of the image.  Don't forget to do that or you will end up with little pieces cut out on your image.  The cute little chick is from the Cute Chicks Cutting File.  All the cutting files are from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

The chick's face is from Peachy Keen's Chickie Face Assortment.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time's Color Me Happy Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Today we are making projects that are JUST FOR KIDS using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.  I have been wanting to scrapbook this picture of Nicky & Joey for the longest time now.  When I saw the Best Buddies File I knew it would be perfect for my picture.

I love everything about the Best Buddies Cutting File.  The title is perfect for the picture.  I know they will always be Best Buddies when they grow up.

The Title, Arrows, Stars and Target are all from the Best Buddies Cutting File.  The scalloped border is from the Borders 2 Cutting File.  They are all from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

My Creative Time Guest Designer

Happy Friday!

Today I am Guest Designing over at My Creative Time.   For my project I thought I would make a little gift box filled with candy.  Last weekend my son Nicholas came down with a really bad ear infection and I had to take him to Urgent Care.  Luckily my Mom was over my house visiting and was able to stay with my other boys.  So I thought I would make her a this little box as a Thank you.

The sentiment is from the Fun Gift Pocket Sentiments Stamp Set.  I love that this stamp set is so versatile.

I am crazy about these flowers.  They came out so cute.

My Mom absolutely loves chocolate with almonds.  So I figured I can't go wrong with this candy bar.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great weekend.

~~PPPR~~Every path has it's puddle...

Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday.  I hope your week is going great.  My oldest son started his spring break this week so I've been trying to keep him busy so he doesn't get bored.  Because we all know it's just a matter of time before they start saying "Mom, I'm bored!"  Thankfully he is really into playing with Legos right now and will play with them for hours while his brothers are at preschool.  Here is the card I made to share with you.

To make the card base I used the Doilies 1 Cutting File.  To get rid of the design inside the doily I selected my shape and then right clicked on the mouse and selected "Release Compound Path".  After that I just selected the scalloped circle portion of my shape and deleted the rest of the image.  Don't forget to do that or you will end up with little pieces cut out on your image.  The sheep and the puddle came from the Rainy Day Critters Cutting File.

The sentiment is from My Creative Time's I'm here for you Rain or Shine stamp set.

I wanted the rain boots, rain hat and water to really look like they were wet so I put Glossy Accents on them.  In the picture below you can see the glossy accents better.  A funny thing happened when I was putting on the Glossy Accents on the puddle, I flipped the puddle over while it was wet.  Ahhh I just about lost my mind.  I thought I had ruined the puddle but luckily when it dried you couldn't tell anything had happened.  Whew!  Has anything like that happened to you while crafting?

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great rest of the week.

The sentiment shape is from the Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting File.  The sentiment is from Joy's Life Barnyard Puns Stamp Set.

Have a great weekend!
